The historic sexual abuse allegations against the teacher provoked an immediate resignation.

Pupils at St. Paul’s Girls’ School asked school alumnae about harassment in the workplace whilst researching for a drama piece.

Some of the alumnae revealed details of sexual abuse that date back to the 1970s and continue until the 1990s. The details range from personal experiences to accounts heard from others.

Mrs Fletcher, the school’s High Mistress, wrote to the ex-pupils informing them of the male teacher’s resignation. She is not identifying the teacher whilst he is being assessed on his ability to work with children.

St. Paul’s Girls’ School charges £24,000 a year for students and is based in Brook Green, Hammersmith. The student drama piece was based on Twitter’s recent #MeToo campaign.

The police are currently not investigating any claims.
