Tonight a new play will be opening at The Hope Theatre titled ‘The Worst Was This.’ One of the leading actresses has described the play as “a sort of Shakespeare in Love meets Sweeney Todd meets Frankenstein!”
The background story involved three sisters who run a gruesome black market business in a pub and cause havoc when a gorgeous man wanders into their den. The play is written and performed in verse and prose, and mimics a traditional Shakespearean love triangle.
The performance will be running until ate november, to then be followed by similarly dark and gory themed performances at the venue.
