Dozens of police watched over the 200 strong crowd as they shouted, “Dump Trump” and waved placards comparing the new leader to Adolf Hitler.
The protest was organised by Stand Up To Racism. They claim Mr Trump had run “the most racist election campaign in generations”.
Lauren Dhanki, a tutor in London, attended the protest. She said, “I believe it’s an extremely sad day for politics and society when a man that has fuelled his entire presidential campaign with hate speech and racism has now been elected as a leader”.
