The fall out from the game between West Ham and Chelsea in the EFL Cup last night which finished 2-1 to West Ham, continued today. Seven people were arrested after widespread violence broke out at the Olympic Stadium, in a heated encounter between two historical rivals.
Seven men were arrested after plastic bottles, seats and coins were thrown between opposing fans. The Premier League club says it will ban anyone found guilty for life. West Ham manager labelled the violence as “totally unacceptable” and “something we are totally against as a club.”
