According to the FA the launch of the new strategy will grow participation and create a sustainable and successful high-performance system.
Baroness Campbell, the FA’s head of women’s football said, “Women’s football has never been stronger, I am immensely proud of the work that The FA has done in this area already but I am genuinely excited about the potential for the game.”
The FA will include four key roles to support scheme and intend on establishing ten women’s high-performance centres.
Arsenal legend Kelly Smith said to City News, “these measures will be phenomenal for women’s sport.”
