The Access to Sports Project will run free sports activities for young people.

The sports on offer include athletics, badminton and cricket.

No prior experience is required.

In Islington there will be football and a selection of other sports.

In Hackney there will be football, cricket, basketball, futsal, and many more options.

In Haringey options will specialise in tennis and athletics.

The Access to Sports Project originally started in the Finsbury Park regeneration area ten years ago.

Since then the project has seen a successful track record of project delivery and fundraising.

Working with partners from the voluntary, community and statutory sectors, Access to Sports delivers targeted programmes directly addressing some of the economic and social issues that affect London’s ‘hard to reach’ areas.

Operations Manager, Nicole Napier, said, ‘ our aim is to offer high quality, accessible and free of charge opportunities for young people.’

‘We try to offer activities that will engage with all sections of the community including female only activities and activities targeting young people with learning disabilities.’

Places for the sports on offer can be found on their website.
