City News is a platform used by journalism postgraduate students at City St George’s, University of London.
Our students would like to use your Content as part of their training, during which they create mock television programmes, documentaries and digital output, including a website and presence on social media.
While the documentaries, television and radio programmes are not broadcasted outside the classroom, and the website is not publicly accessible, excerpts of work produced from them may be used as part of students’ showreels or awards submissions and therefore become publicly available on social media and elsewhere.
This agreement gives our students permission to use the content for the above purposes. This means students can use your Content in whole or in part in TV packages, radio packages, audio and video documentaries, in online players and/or on other media channels, including social media.
We would always credit the content to you unless you specifically ask us not to, in which case we would respect your choice.
By accepting this Content Agreement you are agreeing to the following:
- You confirm that you are the Content’s owner, or that you have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to permit us to use the Content,
- you also confirm that you own the copyright and that you did not create the content as part of a paid arrangement with a third party (e.g. your employer, if the Content was created by you in the course of your employment),
- you retain all ownership rights to your Content,
- and you hereby grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, distribute, edit, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in any media format and through any media channels.
