Proposed in the summer, Theresa May’s plan to put workers on company boards has caused an outrage from senior cabinet ministers. Mrs May spoke of her plans again last week at a Conservative party conference resulting in a rebellion within the cabinet with one member predicting that “it is not going to happen”.
