Waiting, Funding, Dancing: The Crisis in Trans Healthcare

Transgender people in England are waiting an average of 7 years for an initial NHS appointment to access transition-related care, according to the latest data.

In light of the long waiting times, campaigners say over half of British trans people are turning to private healthcare. But with costs in the thousands, community fundraising has exploded to help get young people the care they say they need.

This is their story. Waiting, funding, dancing.
