Madonna may not be performing at Eurovision.

Madonna’s rumoured Eurovision appearance this weekend is in doubt.

Eurovision’s executive supervisor Jon Ola Sand said on Monday:

“The European Broadcasting Union never confirmed Madonna as an act.”

“If we do not have a signed contract she cannot perform on our stage.”

The announcement comes after London band Wolf Alice called on acts to boycott the event.

Madonna also told Reuters on Tuesday that she still plans to perform at the final however.

“I’ll never stop playing music to suit someone’s political agenda” she said.

The singer is expected to perform two songs at the event in Tel Aviv.

There will also be one from her upcoming “Madame X” album.

The contest typically attracts nearly 200 million viewers each year and airs on the BBC.
