Top Boy, a crime drama by Ronan Bennett set in Hackney, won the prestigious Best Drama prize.
It first aired on Channel 4 but was revived by Netflix.
The show is a series about the lives of two drug dealers on a Hackney estate.
Star Jasmine Jobson was named as the best supporting actress for her performance in the show.
It beat Netflix’s royal show The Crown, which received no awards.

The actor Brian Cox presented Lorraine Kelly’s Special Award, and he celebrated her four decades in television.
Kelly said, “I’m so honoured our viewers think of me as a friend, that’s incredible.”
She also paid tribute to her working class background, and said that she wants “everyone to have opportunities” in television.
There were also awards for news and current affairs.
Channel 4 News’s programme Inside Gaza: Israel And Hamas At War won the news coverage award.
The journalist Matt Frei dedicated the award to all of the journalists who’d been killed covering war.
