Five man were sentenced at the Central Criminal Court on Monday.

Sammi Tesfazgi, 21, also found guilty of murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment at the Old Bailey on Monday. The Camden resident was told that he would serve a minimum of 27 years in jail.

Rilind Tahiri, 22, of North Road, Islington was jailed to 14 years in prison for manslaughter.

Ashley McFarland, 35, of Hertford, Hertfordshire, was sentenced to five years in prison – while Kim McFarland, 59, of Belsize Park, Camden, was sentenced to three years. Both were found guilty of assisting an offender.

Yasir Beshira

Yasir Beshira was killed in Kilburn last December. The Metropolitan Police stated that Mr Beshira had been shot in Palmerston Road, north-west London, before staggering 200 yards and eventually collapsing on Kilburn High Road.

In a moving statement read to the court, Mr. Beshir’s mother spoke of how her son’s death had changed her life forever, and that her family would never be the same. The note ended with Mr Beshir’s mother calling for justice.
