Charity Retail Association is encouraging people to do their Christmas shopping at Charity Shops

The Charity Retail Association, the UK trade association for charity shops, has started a #GoodCauseSantaClause campaign to encourage Christmas shoppers to spend their money on second-hand gifts.
London charity shops are promoting the purchase of their second-hand items as a way for people to buy cheaper and more environmentally-friendly Christmas presents.
Jade Barber, Communication Officer at the Charity Retail Association said, “we have seen over the last few months there has been a rise in demand in charity shops.
“We think that’s a bit of a combination between the cost-of-living crisis and bills going up, and also people choosing to shop more sustainably and making more conscious choices.”
She expects the demand on charity shops to increase over the winter, as shoppers look to update their wardrobe during the colder months.
The campaign aims to take advantage of this increased interest in second-hand items and encourage people to buy charity shop goods for other people and not just themselves.
