The machine has been launched as part of London’s technology week.

The ‘Selfiebot’ will roam around crowds taking pictures, with the option of an immediate print out of the photo or a digital copy.

The robot will be able to send footage and images directly to the individuals devices through social media and text messages.

It proved popular in Australia and France, being used companies such as Virgin Australia and Standard Chartered.

The company that invented the robot hopes to feature heavily in events throughout the capital, and its success will be determined by the reaction of the £42.3bn industry.
