Irish actress Jessie Buckley has added a BAFTA nomination after being shortlisted for the Oscars, Golden Globes and Critic Choice Awards for her role in Hamnet.

Originally from Killarney, County Kerry, Buckley went on to study in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
Now, just over ten years later, she is securing multiple nominations for her role as Agnes Hathaway, Shakespeare’s wife, in Chloe Zhao’s record breaking film, Hamnet.
Her co-star Paul Mescal is nominated for best supporting actor.
Hamnet has set the BAFTA record for most nominations for a film directed by a woman.
The film, based on the Booker Prize-winning novel by Maggie O’Farrell is has bagged eleven nominations, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film.
