With the Oscars approaching, many might expect Hollywood’s biggest stars to be in Los Angeles preparing for the ceremony. Instead, several A-listers have been spotted filming in London, highlighting the capital’s growing role as a global production hub.

Paul Mescal

Gary Oldman

Actor Gary Oldman was recently photographed filming the Apple TV+ spy series Slow Horses in Shepherd’s Bush. Dressed as MI5 agent Jackson Lamb, Oldman was seen entering a local launderette while shooting scenes for the show.

Dave Bautista

Fans have also reported spotting Dave Bautista in Canary Wharf, where he is believed to be filming scenes for Highlander.

Angelina Jolie

The sightings reflect London’s continued rise as one of the world’s busiest filming destinations.

According to the British Film Institute, £6.5 billion was spent on film and high-end television production across the UK between October 2024 and September 2025.

So while Hollywood prepares for its biggest night of the year, many of its stars appear to be busy working, thousands of miles away, on sets across the streets of London.
