The murder trial of Tyrell Gray and four other defendants continues at The Old Bailey for the murder of 20-year-old Kamali Gabbindon-Lynck

Five teenagers are on trial for the murder of a father in Wood Green.

Tyrell Gray, 18, and the other four defendants are on trial for the “Hollywood-like” gangland murder of 20-year-old Kamali Gabbidon-Lynck, a father of one. They four defendants cannot be named for legal reasons.

Mr Gabbindon-Lynck fled a fight and was allegedly attacked after entering a local hair salon.

Witness statements testify that the attackers used machete-style blades as long as a forearm.

One of the defendants told the court that on the evening of 22 February, he and his friends were biking their way home to Tottenham. They came across the attack in the hair salon on Vincent Road but deny any involvement in the crime.

The defendant added that any suggestion he was part of an organised effort to kill Mr Gabbidon-Lynck was completely false.

The Old Bailey heard that members of the accused were part of rap groups who rapped about revolvers and shooting.

Jason Fraser, 20, was stabbed and shot during the same incident, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The trial continues.
