City of London Magistrates' Court

A company director has been fined nearly £2,000 for failing to list himself as a person of interest on Companies House.

Mr Dagastar, the director of Ark Energy, failed to show up at the City of London’s Magistrates’ Court hearing.

He is the sole shareholder of Ark Energy meaning that he must be registered on Companies House.

Companies House stated that they first contacted Mr Dagastar on 3 July 2018 and received no response. They then contacted him continuously until 10 December 2018, and this is when they issued him with a final warning.

Judge Blake ruled that the defendant must pay a £1,500 fine, a solicitors’ cost of £250 and a victim surcharge of £125.
