City of London’s 1 Undershaft project has been given a go by the planning officers today.
Plans for 1 Undershaft, now known as the Trellis, have been approved and the building of the 294.6-meter tower are said to start in February.
The project, initiated by Eric Parry Architects, needs now to a get a formal approval from the City of London Corporation’s planning and transport next week.
The building is supposed to be eco-friendly as external cross-bracing fins should be featured to reduce solar glare. It will also include a free public gallery and London’s highest public restaurant.
