A murder investigation has been launched in Tottenham following the death of a 41-year-old woman.
Emergency services were called to a residential address in Bramble Close, N15 at just after 9pm on Wednesday, due to reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Police officers and the London Ambulance Service found the victim suffering from knife wounds. Paramedics proceeded to administer first aid but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and formal identification will take place later today. A post-mortem examination has been arranged to take place at Haringey Mortuary at 14:00hrs today.
A 38-year-old man, known to the victim, remains in custody after being arrested at the address on suspicion of murder. Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
