London Underground has revealed that 43 drivers out of 265 on the Hammersmith and City line as well as 168 drivers out of 408 on the Piccadilly opted for strike action next month.

London Undergrounds Chief operating officer, Steven Griffiths has urged the RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) leadership to work with the LU “constructively on the issues that it has raised rather than disrupt customers.”

Steven Griffiths also announced that the strike dates given out were “premature” as there are talks between the parties arranged already.
