Islington has ranked second place in the UK as the constituency with the highest number of people who signed the petition.
The petition aims to stop the president from coming to the UK. In total, the petition reached over 1.5 million signatures nationwide.
Thousands took the streets of the capital last night in protest against President Trump’s indefinite travel ban. Placards reading “Dump Trump” and “No to Racism” were raised above the crowds in reaction to the president’s decision to ban refugees from seven predominantly Muslim countries travelling to the USA.
Islington North’s MP Jeremy Corbyn took to social media to encourage his constituents to sign the petition which hopes to stop Trump from visiting London.
