North London Waste Authority, has teamed up with University College of London (UCL), to advise students on reducing food waste and save them money.

The North London Waste Authority serves approximately 1.9 million people and helps the council dispose of 845,000 waste each year.

They have a new initiative; “Wise up to Waste”. This is educating North Londoners about increasing recycling and reducing waste.

As part of that initiative, today they have teamed up with UCL during their Money Saving week.

They aim to advise students by giving them easy tips on how to make the most of their food, reduce waste resulting in money saved.

UCL holds this event to equip students with tips on how to save and they believe the issues the NLWA will be covering are important to students as well.
