City of London institution Lloyds bank has reportedly implemented a drinking ban.
In an email sent to employees, the bank said it would not tolerate alcohol consumption between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
The insurance market has operated in the square mile since the 17th century.
Thomas Lowe, analyst at fellow bank Winterfloods, told City News that his workplace wouldn’t issue such a ban as they feel a “lunchtime pint helps the deals go down”.
