Barnet Council has announced that the historic Hendon Town Hall can now be used for weddings. An official has announced that the first weddings are able to take place immediately, as long as the couple’s paperwork is in order.
The council’s registar office, where births, deaths and marriages are recorded, has moved to the Grade II listed building from its long-time home of Burnt Oak, Edgware.
It is hoped the new central location will allow the council to make savings by keeping their offices together.
