Tonight, parents in Haringey are meeting to campaign against the government’s plans to cut education funding.
The Fair Funding for All Schools organisation was founded in Haringey by parent Jo Yurky. The campaign has since received national coverage with parent groups across the country joining the fight against plans to cut school funds.
This campaign has been supported by local MPs, including Claire Kober and Catherine West, as well as the head of the National Union of Teachers.
The government plan to cut overall funding of state education. In real terms, by 2020 schools will lose up to £3 billion worth of funds a year. This means that 98% of schools will suffer with per pupil cuts. Campaigners believe these cuts could have a crippling affect on schools all across London.

Larger class sizes
Loss of class staff and teachers
Loss of resources
Cuts to extra curricular activity
