  • Police are looking for two men
  • They allegedly broke into a Hackney home last February

Detectives in Hackney are urgently appealing for help to identify two men who attacked a shop worker with a crowbar in Lower Clapton Road.

Detective inspector, Paul Ridley, said in a Met Police press report,Although the two males have their faces partially covered, I am convinced that somebody will be able to recognise them from this footage and I would urge them to contact me or a member of my team.

It is vitally important that we find these men in order to prevent them from carrying out further violence against other potential victims.

The attack took place shortly after midnight on the 21st of November 2016.

The 34-year-old victim had been closing the ‘Palm 2 Store’ shop, when the two robbers threatened the victim to open to shop and give them access to the ATM.

The two robbers then struck the shop owner repeatedly with a crow bar for ten minutes, before escaping empty handed.

Anyone who recognises the men, or was in the area at the time of the attack, is asked to contact Hackney CID via 101, or by tweeting @MetCC.
