Paul Hammond from Community Barnet told City News that they are doing all they can to keep residents safe. However, despite their best efforts, crime mapping data reveals the borough to have suffered almost two thousand burglaries in the past year.

According to the report, North London fares particularly badly, with neighbouring boroughs of Barnet, Haringey, Enfield and Camden also in the top five, and Islington at number six.
Since April last year, there have been 20,000 burglaries across the capital costing each household an average of £2,883 to replace or repair items or damaged fixtures.
