Haringey council and local NHS partnership are encouraging healthier choices on the high street.

Apart from the £2,000 funding prize, the winner will receive 8 weeks of expert support early next year.

Haringey Council and Healthy London Partnership have organised this competition to encourage businesses like chicken shops and kebab restaurants to offer healthier choices, and help tackle the obesity problem.

The competition is open to the general public. The deadline for submitting ideas is next Monday, November 27 at noon.

The Healthy London Partnership was formed in 2015. It works with the Greater London Authority, Public Health England, NHS England, London’s councils, clinical commissioning groups and Health Education England. Its projects work across health and social care.

They believe that a healthier, more liveable global city can be achieved by 2020.
