The defendant drove down a pedestrian footpath along Lodge Road, Westminster, on his motorbike, due to the road being closed. Mr Aust asked Mr Francois to stop driving on the pavement and tried to take a photo of him.

Mr Francois responded by knocking the phone out of Mr Aust’s hand, grabbing his lanyard, using abusive and threatening language, and then barging past Mr Aust with his motorbike.

Mr Francois was found guilty and the case was adjourned to Barkingside Magistrates Court, where he will be sentenced.
