McGregor pleaded not guilty when he appeared in Thames Magistrates Court on Wednesday. The defence said that McGregor was ‘dumbfounded’ by the charges held against him.
On the 19th September police searched 17 Aldriche Way and found the loaded firearm in the kitchen cupboard. Police also reported finding ammunition.
The court ordered him to be released on bail with several conditions. He has a strict 7pm-7am curfew and is prohibited from entering the E4 postal code area.
The 26-year-old was first arrested on Tuesday after a DNA investigation found his fingerprints on the rib plate of a silver shotgun.
He will appear again in court on the 20th December for the trail to continue.
