A bomb disposal robot and a specially-trained dog could be seen working around the car on St Mary's Axe.

The City of London police were called to St Mary’s Axe at 11:32 on Tuesday morning, following ‘reports of a suspicious vehicle parked on the street.’

Road closures were put in place while the police were investigating the incident.

The incident was declared ‘non-suspicious’ by the City of London police before 13:00, while the driver of the vehicle was arrested for ‘possession of false identity documents.’
