Jordan Clarke, 20, and Eddy Mombele, 24, allegedly targeted the youths aged between 15 and 16 in a revenge attack. Both men deny the charges of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
The Old Bailey heard that on Saturday 28th August 2016, the men were targeted in an alleged revenge stabbing at the Notting Hill Carnival.
On Wednesday the Old Bailey heard evidence from one of the victims, who cannot be named. He told the jury that he had been making his way through the crowd in a group, when he was confronted by two men near the junction of Wornington Road with Munro Mews at around 5.08pm.
The witness told the court that he saw a large zombiekiller style knife “being wielded at him, with a blade around 25cm long. He was then stabbed in the stomach as the group of friends he was with ran away in fear.
He suffered a severe injury and he was rushed to hospital for surgery. In cross examination, the victim was questioned by defence lawyers about his police statement, and whether he had been involved in any incident earlier that day.
The jury of four men and eight women heard from the victim today that he was not aware of any sinister motive and had not been avoiding anyone on the day. The two attackers are then believed to have run off up the road away from the carnival after the stabbing.
The prosecution will continue its case tomorrow.
