Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating a rape that happened in Westminster on 25 October last year.
The victim was sexually assaulted by an unknown man by Charing Cross Road in Central London. She fled and managed to report the offence to the police.
The computer-generated image, also known as an “e-fit”, describes the suspect as a black male in his mid to late 20s, with short black hair.
He has a also got a text tattooed on the left side of his neck.
E-fit stands for Electronic Facial Identification Technique, and is a computer-based method used by criminal investigators to piece together a picture of a suspect when no photograph is available.
The computer-generated images are based on victims’ and witnesses’ descriptions.
