Mr Walker is putting Jeremy Kyle under pressure to ditch the show after a guest kills himself.

The Conservative MP for Broxbourne has spoken openly about his own mental health and says the show should take responsibility for their actions.

The MP is a member of the all-party parliamentary group on suicide and self-harm prevention. He has called the people on The Jeremy Kyle Show “victims” and not guests.

The talkshow was suspended indefinitely by the broadcaster after a guest, named by the Sun as 63-year-old Steve Dymond, died a week after filming.

Mr Walker describes the show as “an unattractive form of television, based on the bullying of the weak and vulnerable. It is not compatible with a responsible society and a responsible broadcaster.”

The show has been broadcast since 2005 and is well-known for its heated debates and Kyle mediating between guests.
