Huwaei's flagship P30 smartphone runs Google's Android operating system

Google has announced it has banned the Chinese phone giant Huawei from using parts of its Android mobile operating system.
The move comes after President Trump signed an order last week banning the Chinese firm from using some US-made technology without government permission.
Huawei’s smartphones, like its flagship P30 Pro, run on Google’s Android software. Google has assured Huawei users that their current phones will continue to work.
But future Huawei phones could lack key parts of the OS, like Google Maps and the Google Play app store.
Many elements of the ban and its impacts are still unclear. Analysts say it’s likely to drive Huawei to come up with its own custom-built alternatives to Google’s software.
In a statement, Huawei said it will “continue to provide security updates and after sales services to all existing Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products covering those have been sold or still in stock globally.”
