Family, friends and neighbours of London attack victim Ignacio Echeverría, a spaniard skateboarder who died confronting one at London's Borough Market terrorists with his skateboard, paid tribute to him after the attacks. A skate part in Madrid has been named in his honour.

Witnesses have told the inquest into the London Bridge terror attacks they saw a Spanish man swinging his skateboard at terrorists in order to defend fellow victims.

Ignacio Echeverria, from Madrid, died in the attacks on 3 June, 2017.

The Queen posthumously awarded him the George Medal for bravery.
