President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Junker is among a plethora of Political leaders who have reacted to Theresa May’s resignation announcement this morning.
Mina Andreeva, Deputy Chief Spokeswoman Mr. Juncker said “President Juncker followed Prime Minister May’s announcement this morning without personal joy”.
She added that “the president very much liked and appreciated working with Prime Minister May”.
Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, tweeted that Mrs May “is right to resign”. He added that “she can’t govern”.

Describing Mrs. May’s statement as “dignified”, he urged conservatives to “come together and deliver Brexit”.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, sympathised with the Prime Minister, tweeting, “Theresa May’s job was made impossible by Brexit extremists in the Conservative Party’” He added that, “Parliament should revoke Article 50 & give the British public the final say on Brexit”.
