Two estate agents have been the sites of three car crashes that have occurred months apart from each other. Residents are calling it an ‘epidemic’.
Bryan & Keegan estate agents on Brockley Road in South East London was first hit on March 22 of this year.
The estate agents have been closed ever since the first incident for repairs and insurance purposes.
The second crash that happened on Monday (June 21) could now affect the reopening date of the branch.
A local resident said the crash was caused by a car traveling at high speeds and slamming on its breaks last minute.
This then caused the car behind to swerve and hit a nearby bollard outside the estate agents.
Another estate agents, Acorn Brockley Estate Agents, is less than 100 metres from Bryan & Keegan and was also hit in a car crash on 9 June.
An ‘epidemic’
The incident has caused an outpouring of frustration online, as Brockley Road is a 20mph zone with Beecroft Garden Primary School located nearby.
The repair work is due to start at the Brockley branch next week.
One resident called the recent spate of car collisions hitting estate agents an “epidemic”.
They said: “Estate agents got again! It’s an epidemic!”
Other residents have called for speed cameras and speed bumps to be introduced along Brockley Road.
