Danyal Hussein, 19, is sentenced to 35 years behind bars for the Satanic killing of two sisters, Bibaa Henry, 46 and Nicole Smallman, 27 in Wembley last year.
Hussein declined to give evidence in his trial at the Old Bailey and was found guilty of two counts of murder and possession of a weapon.
The trial heard that he embarked on a rampage against random women in a failed attempt to win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot lottery prize of £321 million. He stalked his victims during the early hours of the 6th of June as they celebrated Bibaa Henry’s birthday.
Before the killings, Hussein had expressed with others his passion for demons and love potions, and publicly carried out online research about the far-right and a Nazi Satanist group.
The sisters’ mother, Venerable Mina Smallman said she ‘has never come across such evil’, following Hussein’s conviction in July.
Mrs Justice Whipple sentenced Danyal Hussein to life in prison with a minimum term of 35 years. She said Hussein had dragged bodies away and posed them to ‘defile’ death. Justice Whipple referred to the satanic motivation, ‘I am sure you performed these murders as part of a bargain for wealth and power’.
Before committing murder, Hussein bought knives from Asda, a black balaclava on Amazon and signed up to a lottery betting website. This was confirmed by a major DNA breakthrough in June and Hussein was consequently identified on CCTV. The 10 days after the murder, Hussein spent £162,88 on lottery tickets and bets- all without success.
Police located Hussein through DNA and uncovered a handwritten pledge to a demonic entity to kill six women every six months, signed in blood. Whilst searches of his bedroom in South-east London uncovered spell books and blood pacts. At the age of the 15, Hussein had come to police attention overs concerns he was vulnerable to radicalisation and extremism. The jury during the trial were not told of Hussein’s obsession with demons and spells.
Facebook and Instagram have removed his social media page and YouTube launched a review last week.
The police watchdog found the investigation and level of service was ‘below the standards it should have been’ over the weekend when the sisters were reported as missing.
Two police officers have been charged with misconduct om public office after allegedly sharing pictures of the crime scene on social media. The plea hearing is on November 2nd.
