The court has been shown CCTV footage from Charlie Bartolo’s killing.

The footage reportedly shows Charlie’s moped being hit by a Nissan Qashqai, before teenagers in the car get out with big knives and stab him to death before getting back into the vehicle.

Kearne Solanke, an accomplice in Charlie’s attack, also died at the scene after he was mistakenly stabbed by one of the others in the “chaos and excitement” of the attack, says William Emlyn Jones KC.

Hussain Bah, 19 and Alagie Jobe, 19 were at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday with a 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy who cannot be named. All of them are being charged with the murders of Charlie and Kearne.

Mr Jones said:

“The prosecution’s case is that these men were acting together with a shared intention of stabbing and seriously harming their target and that therefore they are jointly responsible for the attack.”

The attack has been labelled so far in the court as a “petty postcode rivalry”.

The trial continues.
