Local residents came together to take part in a community cycle ride on Sunday. Haringey Cycling Campaign organised the event to encourage safer cycling in the borough.
It is hoped the cycle ride will inspire more locals to cycle and help highlight the need for greater safety measures.
The cycle event comes days after a new interactive map was published by the London Cycling Campaign. The map reveals London’s most dangerous junctions for walking and cycling, which users can find by searching each borough.

The most dangerous junctions for cyclists 2023 as part of the London Cycling Campaign new interactive mapThe two-mile ride started and finished at the Ducketts Community Café, in Finsbury park, passing by the fifth most dangerous junction near it, Blackstock Road. People of all ages took part, including families with young children.
The organiser of the campaign, Francesca Savage, told City News: “If we build safe cycling infrastructure’ this will encourage more people to cycle on the roads. Let’s build cycling lanes on main roads, keep speed limits low and support quiet streets”.
What is next for the Harringay Cycling Campaign?
The community cycle ride around Stroud Green is the first of more cycling events to come by the Harringay Cycling Campaign. The secretary of the campaign Angela said that due to widespread success the committee is planning to another ride in December.
