Arsenal v Manchester United sell out Emirates for the first time ever in Women's Super League opening the possibility of playing their games with a much larger audience.

Girls really do run the world, with Arsenal and Manchester United Women’s selling out for the first time ever at Emirates Stadium during the Women’s Super League.
Saturday the 17th of February will see the two teams go head to head in front of a ground breaking crowd of 60,000. The current Women’s Super League attendance record is held by Arsenal’s win over Chelsea where 59,042 attended.
Most of Arsenal Women’s home games take place at Meadow Park with the capacity of a mere 4,500 in comparison. Six of the Gunners’ 11 home games this season have or will take place at the Emirates during the 2023/24 campaign.
Arsenal manager, Jonas Eidevall believes high fan turn outs like these are a realistic feat, given their abilities.
The women’s match with the most impressive level of attendees is the 2022 Euro final where 87,192 headed to Wembley Stadium.
With turn outs like this, it’s likely the Gunners will make an appearance at Emirates again.
