Detectives have believed Ezedi went into the Thames at Chelsea bridge since the 9th February. This was based on CCTV footage showing him at leaning over the bridge and then disappearing from sight.

Commander Jon Savell from the Met Police has said: “Based on the distinctive clothing he was wearing at the time of the attack and property found on his body, we strongly believe we have recovered the body of Ezedi.
“We have been in contact with his family to pass on the news.”
The Met say formal identification might take some time.

The body was recovered at around 16:00 on Monday 19th February near the Tower Pier EC3.
