Senior judges have denied child serial killer Lucy Letby in her bid to appeal her most recent conviction.

Letby sought approval from the Court of Appeal to challenge her conviction of attempting to murder a baby girl known as Child K.

The 34 year old had already been found guilty for the murder of seven babies, and the attempted murder of six others during her time working at the Countess of Chester Hospital from June 2015 to June 2016.

Her legal team had argued that her re-trail jury were prejudiced by media coverage from the original trial ending in August 2023.

The Court has already thrown out Letby’s appeal for her 14 other convictions.
