A 31-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering top chef Mussie Imnetu near Notting Hill Carnival last year.
Omar Wilson left him dying on the ground after repeatedly punching and kicking him.
The incident took place outside the Dr Power restaurant in Queensway, West London as the Notting Hill Carnival took place down the road.
The victim, who had worked under chefs Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing, was taken to hospital with brain damage and died four days later.
Wilson told the court “I regret that somebody’s life was taken while I was trying to defend mine”.
Despite claiming he was acting in self-defence, he was found guilty of murder by the jury in a vote of ten to two.
