The Metropolitan Police were called to Kingsbury High School in Brent this afternoon at 12.41pm following reports of a stabbing targeting a 13-year-old boy.
Police were then made aware of a second victim, a 12-year-old boy, when they arrived at the scene.
Both victims were taken to hospital, but according to the London Ambulance Service, one of the boys has been taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.
The Metropolitan Police are urgently searching for the suspect, who has been identified as a teenage boy.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams has said “We recognise that this incident will cause considerable concern within the community” and that they are doing everything they can to “locate the suspect”.
Kingsbury High School said in a statement, “we want to make you aware that there has been a serious incident at Kingsbury High School today” and “the situation is now under control”.
