Between steps 1-6 you find forgotten ex-pros, part-time electricians, and football in its purest form.
London’s footballing headlines, so far this season, have been dominated by Arsenal, and last night’s shock draw to bottom-of-the-table Wolves, means the Gunners will continue to be gunned for by the media as the season approaches its crescendo.
However, if one were to scratch the surface of football’s step system, one would find that the real excitement lies in the non-league.
City News takes you through the very best of this weekend’s action.
North London
Wealdstone FC are not only historically one of the capital’s most storied clubs, but is also an icon of online virality. The Stones’ starburst style of form and a Valentine’s loss to visiting York City render them in 16th. They face Sutton Utd away from home on Saturday, the only other London-based club in the National League.
In the National League South, Enfield Town find themselves treading water in the relegation zone. However, undefeated in their last three, they will be looking for another win against Farnborough this weekend.

Heading south of the river, and as mentioned, Sutton United host Wealdstone FC. They come off the back of a win and a draw, and will hope to capitalise on Wealdstone’s recent poor form.
