A person is fighting for their life after they fell onto the tracks at Euston station during Tuesday’s rushhour.
Emergency crews were called to the Victoria line platforms at the Central London station just before 9am amid reports of a serious accident.
The age and gender of the victim are still unknown. The British Transport Police (BTP) have described their condition as “critical”. The BTP is not treating this incident as suspicious.
The accident led to wide spread disruption across the Tube, with no service between Victoria and Highbury & Islington for most of the morning with passengers at Euston station being left trapped in a tunnel for over an hour.
In a seperate accident this morning in North London led to the death of an individual after they fell on to the tracks. Emergency crews were called to Meridian Water station, in the Upper Edmonton area of Enfield, at 8:50am after reports of a fatal incident.
