A group of park users has arranged a clean-up event this weekend at Finsbury Park.
The Friends of Finsbury Park group was set up to engage local residents in the running of the park. The group will meet to clean a children’s play area on Saturday.
Organisers say the council has reduced litter patrols in the park over recent months. The group says it understands the council is under financial pressure but suggests that keeping one of the borough’s busiest parks clean should be prioritised.
